BLACK OPERA, a new feature-length documentary, currently in production, explores race and inclusion in today’s Opera world through the eyes of America’s leading Black operatic stars. 

How do they navigate the demands of vocal excellence, race and inclusion, innovation and the demands of the stage. Can this generation save the future of opera, or is it impossible for the institution to change?

Jessye Norman at 75: A Celebration was a 90-minute virtual gala, streamed live on September 15th, 2020 at 6PM EDT in celebration of Ms. Norman’s life and artistry. Featuring countless performances and dedications from Laverne Cox,  Anna Deavere Smith, Martina Arroyo, Damien Sneed, Harolyn Blackwell, J’Nai Bridges, Measha Brueggergosman, The Norman Family and many more, including readings from Ms. Norman's memoir "Stand Up Straight, and Sing!". It was hosted by baritone Kenneth Overton, executive produced by Miranda Plant and directed by Jonathan Estabrooks
